Announcing PQE-2018

  • Dates: January 7-12, 2018
    • There will be a reception on Sunday evening, January 7, in honor of the 2018 recipients of the Willis E. Lamb Award for Laser Science and Quantum Optics. The winners are:
      • Jian-Wei Pan of the University of Science and Technology of China,
      • Ernst Rasel of Leibniz University Hannover,
      • Peter Zoller of the University of Innsbruck.
    • The conference sessions will be Monday, January 8 through Friday, January 12, 2018.
    • Please note that the conference will run through the evening of Friday, January 12. Please make plans to attend the entire conference.
  • Special Issue
    To celebrate the 48th PQE, a special issue of the Journal of Modern Optics will be published, with select papers submitted by conference participants. Information can be found here.
  • Receipt
    If you have lost our receipt for your payment of the conference fee, or if you would simply prefer an electronic version, you can download a receipt here.
  • Certificate of participation
    Some participants require a certificate of participation to satisfy the beurocratic requirements of their institutions. If you need such a certificate, you can download one here.
  • Register now.  All participants should sign up to verify your email address and let us know you are coming. Even if someone else has invited you to give a talk or poster, you must do this or we can't list you on the program.
  • Hotel and travel.  Participants must make their own lodging and travel arrangements. Instructions are here. Important: Deadline is December 7.
  • Conference fee.  (Now open.) All participants are expected to pay the registration fee. This is necessary because the conference is only supported by the registration fees. Thank you for your understanding. Instructions are here.
